1. Financial benefits. Green Demolitions’ recycling program reduces the cost of kitchen projects in four ways:
| A. Tax deduction. Green Demolitions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, offers a tax deduction to people donating kitchens and other items, providing all. Green Demolitions provides a year-end report as a guide for tax deduction.
B. Free, professional insured removal (approved kitchens). Green Demolitions offers free, professional insured crews to remove pre-qualified kitchens. In 2009, Green Demolitions received over 1,000 donations including 362 kitchen donations. C. Free pick up. Green Demolitions offers free, professional pick up in our fleet of three 26’ Penske box trucks. D. No disposal costs. Green Demolitions’ donation program eliminates the need for construction debris containers. |
2. Environmental benefits. Including reduction of landfill waste, decreased energy costs, and conservation of forest resources. In 2009, Green Demolitions diverted approximately 800,000 pounds from the landfills including 362 kitchens.
3. Charitable benefits. Funds support addiction recovery outreach programs. Outreach programs include: 1)
77-acre meeting center in the Catskills, 2) 24 Communications – a providing resources for addicts worldwide – books, websites, newsletters, and electronic media, and 3) Basket Landing a traditional music group and dance troupe performing for schools, prisons, and youth programs.
